In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ

you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
