بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
82:1إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
82:1WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:2وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
82:2And the stars dispersed, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:3وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
82:3When the oceans begin to flow, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:4وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
82:4When the graves are overturned, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:5عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
82:5Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:6يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
82:6O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:7ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
82:7Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:8فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
82:8Shaping you into any form He pleased? - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:9كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
82:9Even then you deny the Judgement. - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:10وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ
82:10Surely there are guardians over you, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:11كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ
82:11Illustrious scribes - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:12يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
82:12Who know what you do. - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:13إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
82:13The pious will surely be in heaven, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:14وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
82:14The wicked certainly in Hell: - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:15يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
82:15They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:16وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
82:16And will not be removed from it. - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:17وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:17How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:18ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:18How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? - Ahmed Ali (English)
82:19يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
82:19It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. - Ahmed Ali (English)
