بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
92:1وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
92:1I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:2وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
92:2And the day when it shines in all its glory, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:3وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
92:3And Him who created the male and female, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:4إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
92:4That your endeavour is for different ends. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:5فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ
92:5Yet he who gives to others and has fear, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:6وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:6And affirms goodness, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:7فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
92:7We shall ease the way of fortune for him. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:8وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
92:8But he who does not give and is unconcerned, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:9وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:9And rejects goodness, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:10فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
92:10For him We shall ease the way of adversity, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:11وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ
92:11And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:12إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
92:12It is indeed for Us to show the way, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:13وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
92:13And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:14فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
92:14So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:15لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى
92:15No one will burn in it but the most wretched, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:16ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
92:16Who denied (the truth) and turned away. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:17وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى
92:17But save him who fears - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:18ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
92:18And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:19وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ
92:19And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:20إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
92:20Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:21وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
92:21Will surely be gratified. - Ahmed Ali (English)
