17:83
وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ ۖ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ كَانَ يَـُٔوسًا

When We are gracious to man he turns away and moves aside; yet when evil befalls him he begins to despair. - Ahmed Ali (English)
