2:183
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
2:183
Believers, fasting has been prescribed for you, just as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard yourselves against evil. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
