بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
51:1وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ ذَرْوًا
51:1I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:2فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ وِقْرًا
51:2And those who bear the load (of rain), - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:3فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ يُسْرًا
51:3And those who move (on the water) gently, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:4فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ أَمْرًا
51:4And those who distribute (it) by command, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:5إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ
51:5Verily the promise made to you is true: - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:6وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
51:6The Judgement will indeed take place. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:7وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ
51:7The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:8إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ
51:8You are surely caught in contradictions., - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:9يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ
51:9From which only he turns who is turned away. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:10قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ
51:10Perish will those who just guess and speculate, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:11ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
51:11Who are lost in deception. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:12يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
51:12They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:13يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
51:13The day they will be burnt in the Fire, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:14ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
51:14(And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:15إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
51:15Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:16ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ
51:16Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:17كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
51:17They slept little in the night, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:18وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
51:18And every morning asked forgiveness, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:19وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
51:19In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:20وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
51:20There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:21وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
51:21And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:22وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
51:22There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:23فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ
51:23By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:24هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
51:24Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:25إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
51:25When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:26فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
51:26So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:27فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
51:27And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:28فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ
51:28He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:29فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
51:29His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:30قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
51:30They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:31۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
51:31He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:32قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
51:32They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:33لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
51:33So as to let loose clods of clay on them - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:34مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
51:34Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:35فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
51:35So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:36فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
51:36But did not find more than a single family of believers. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:37وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
51:37We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:38وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
51:38As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:39فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَـٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
51:39But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:40فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
51:40So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:41وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ
51:41In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:42مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
51:42Which turned everything it touched to ashes. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:43وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
51:43And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:44فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
51:44But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:45فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ
51:45And neither stand up nor defend themselves. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:46وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ
51:46(So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:47وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
51:47We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:48وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَـٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ
51:48We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:49وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
51:49And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:50فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
51:50So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:51وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
51:51Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:52كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
51:52Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man." - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:53أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
51:53Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:54فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ
51:54Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:55وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
51:55But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:56وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
51:56I have not created the jinns and men but to worship Me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:57مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ
51:57I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:58إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ
51:58God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:59فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
51:59Those who do wrong will indeed come to the same end as their fellows (of old). So let them not ask Me to hasten (the punishment). - Ahmed Ali (English)
51:60فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
51:60Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them. - Ahmed Ali (English)
