بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

55:1ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
55:1AR-RAHMAN - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:2عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
55:2Bestowed the Qur'an, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:3خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
55:3Created man, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:4عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
55:4And taught him to express clearly. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:5ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
55:5The sun and moon revolve to a computation; - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:6وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
55:6And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:7وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:7He raised the sky and set the Balance - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:8أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
55:8So that none may err against the scales, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:9وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:9And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:10وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
55:10He positioned the earth for all the creatures: - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:11فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ
55:11There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:12وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
55:12Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:13فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:13How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:14خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
55:14He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:15وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
55:15And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:16فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:16How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:17رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
55:17Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:18فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:18How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:19مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
55:19He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:20بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
55:20With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:21فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:21How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:22يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:22Out of them come pearls and coral. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:23فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:23How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:24وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
55:24His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:25فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:25How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:26كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
55:26All that is on the earth is passing, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:27وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:27But abiding is the glory of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficence. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:28فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:28How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:29يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
55:29All those there are in the heavens and the earth turn to Him with solicitation, intent on His purpose all the time. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:30فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:30How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:31سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
55:31We shall soon be free to turn to you, O weary caravans, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:32فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:32How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:33يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
55:33O society of jinns and men, cross the bounds of the heavens and the earth if you have the ability, then pass beyond them; but you cannot unless you acquire the law. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:34فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:34How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:35يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
55:35Let loose at you will be smokeless flames of fire so that you will not be able to defend yourselves. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:36فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:36How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:37فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ
55:37When the sky will split asunder, and turn rosy like the dregs of annointing oil, - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:38فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:38Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:39فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:39Neither man nor jinn will be questioned on that day about his sin. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:40فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:40How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:41يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
55:41The sinners will be recognised by their marks, and seized by the forelock and their feet. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:42فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:42Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:43هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
55:43This is Hell the sinners called a lie. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:44يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ
55:44They will go round and around between it and boiling water. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:45فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:45Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:46وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
55:46But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:47فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:47How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:48ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ
55:48Full of overhanging branches -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:49فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:49Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:50فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
55:50With two springs of water flowing through them both. -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:51فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:51Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:52فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
55:52In both of them there will be every kind of fruits in pairs. -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:53فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:53Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:54مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
55:54Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:55فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:55How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:56فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:56In them maidens with averted glances, undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:57فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:57Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:58كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
55:58As though rubies and pearls. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:59فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:59Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:60هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
55:60Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:61فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:61How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:62وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
55:62And besides these two other gardens -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:63فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:63Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:64مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ
55:64Of darkest verdant green -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:65فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:65How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:66فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
55:66With two fountains gushing constantly, -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:67فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:67How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:68فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ
55:68With fruits in them, and dates and pomegranates -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:69فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:69How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:70فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ
55:70In them good and comely maidens -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:71فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:71How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:72حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
55:72Houris cloistered in pavilions -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:73فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:73How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:74لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:74Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:75فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:75How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:76مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ
55:76Reclining on green cushions and rich carpets excellent. - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:77فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
55:77How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? - Ahmed Ali (English)

55:78تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:78Blessed be the name of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficience. - Ahmed Ali (English)
