19:1
كٓهيعٓصٓ
19:1
KaafHaYa'aeenSaad. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:2
ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ
19:2
A mention of the Mercy of your Lord to his worshiper Zachariah, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:3
إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيًّا
19:3
when he called upon his Lord in secret, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:4
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا
19:4
saying: 'O my Lord, my bones are enfeebled, and my head glows silver with age. Yet, never Lord, have I been unblessed in prayer to You. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:5
وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا
19:5
Indeed, I fear my kinsmen who will succeed me, for my wife is barren. Grant me a kinsman - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:6
يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا
19:6
who will be my heir and an heir to the House of Jacob, and make him, my Lord, satisfied' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:7
يَـٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ ٱسْمُهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا
19:7
'O Zachariah, We give you good tidings of a son, and he shall be called John (Yahya); a name We have never given before' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:8
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَـٰمٌ وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ ٱلْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا
19:8
'How shall I have a son, Lord' he asked, 'when my wife is barren, and I am advanced in years' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:9
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًٔا
19:9
He replied: 'It shall be so; your Lord says: "It is easy for Me, indeed, I created you before time when you were not a thing." - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:10
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً ۚ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَـٰثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا
19:10
He (Zachariah) said: 'Lord, make for me a sign' He replied: 'Your sign is that you shall not speak to people for three nights being without fault' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:11
فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
19:11
Then he came out from the Sanctuary to his nation, and gestured to them to exalt (their Lord) at the dawn and at the evening. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:12
يَـٰيَحْيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا
19:12
(We said): 'O John, hold fast to the Book', and We bestowed on him judgment while yet a child - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:13
وَحَنَانًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةً ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّا
19:13
and tenderness from Us and purity, and he was cautious; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:14
وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا
19:14
honoring his parents, being neither arrogant nor rebellious. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:15
وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
19:15
Peace be upon him on the day he was born and the day he dies, and on him the day when he is raised up alive. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:16
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا
19:16
And mention in the Book, Mary, how she withdrew from her people to an eastern place and she took a veil apart from them; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:17
فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا
19:17
We sent to her Our Spirit (Gabriel) in the resemblance of a perfect human. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:18
قَالَتْ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّا
19:18
(And when she saw him) she said: 'I take refuge in the Merciful from you! If you are fearful' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:19
قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَـٰمًا زَكِيًّا
19:19
'I am the Messenger of your Lord' he replied, 'and have come to give you a pure boy' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:20
قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَـٰمٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِى بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا
19:20
'How shall I bear a son' she answered, 'when I am not touched by a human and not unchaste' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:21
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ ۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا
19:21
"Even so" he replied, "as such your Lord has said: 'Easy it is for Me. And We shall make him a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us. It is a matter decreed.'" - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:22
۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتْ بِهِۦ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا
19:22
Thereupon she carried him, and retired to a far off place. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:23
فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَـٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا
19:23
And when the birthpangs came upon her by the trunk of a palmtree, she said: 'Oh, would that I had died before this and become a thing forgotten' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:24
فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا
19:24
He called from below to her: 'Do not sorrow, look, your Lord has provided a rivulet below you, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:25
وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَـٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا
19:25
and shake the trunk of this palmtree it will drop fresh ripe dates upon you. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:26
فَكُلِى وَٱشْرَبِى وَقَرِّى عَيْنًا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِىٓ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّا
19:26
Therefore eat and drink and rejoice with your eyes. If you meet any human say to him: "I have vowed a fast to the Merciful and will not speak with anyone today.' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:27
فَأَتَتْ بِهِۦ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُۥ ۖ قَالُوا۟ يَـٰمَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْـًٔا فَرِيًّا
19:27
She came to her nation, carrying him; and they said: 'O Mary, you have committed a monstrous thing. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:28
يَـٰٓأُخْتَ هَـٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا
19:28
O sister of Aaron, your father was never an evil man, nor was your mother unchaste' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:29
فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا۟ كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا
19:29
So she pointed to him (Prophet Jesus). But they replied: 'How can we speak with a baby in the cradle' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:30
قَالَ إِنِّى عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِىَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِى نَبِيًّا
19:30
He (the baby) said: 'I am the worshiper of Allah. Allah has given me the Book and made me a Prophet. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:31
وَجَعَلَنِى مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَـٰنِى بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا
19:31
He made me to be blessed wherever I am, and He has charged me with prayer and charity for as long as I shall live. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:32
وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِى وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِى جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا
19:32
(He has made me) kind to my mother; He has not made me arrogant, unprosperous. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:33
وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُ عَلَىَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
19:33
Peace be upon me on the day I was born, and on the day I die; and on the day when I shall be raised up alive' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:34
ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قَوْلَ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ
19:34
Such was (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary. A saying of truth, concerning what they doubt. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:35
مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ ۖ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥٓ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
19:35
It is not for Allah to take a son! Exaltations to Him! When He decrees a thing He only says: 'Be' and it is. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:36
وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
19:36
Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:37
فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
19:37
But the parties have fallen into variance among themselves, then woe to those who disbelieve for the scene of a Dreadful Day. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:38
أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا ۖ لَـٰكِنِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
19:38
How well they will hear and see on the Day when they come before Us! The evildoers are today in clear error. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:39
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
19:39
Warn them of that Day of Anguish, when the matter is determined whilst heedlessly they disbelieve. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:40
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ
19:40
For We shall inherit the earth and all that are on it. To Us, they shall return. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:41
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
19:41
Mention in the Book Abraham; He was truthful and a Prophet. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:42
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لَا يَسْمَعُ وَلَا يُبْصِرُ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنكَ شَيْـًٔا
19:42
He said to his father: 'O father, why worship that which can neither see nor hear, nor helps you in anything? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:43
يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّى قَدْ جَآءَنِى مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓ أَهْدِكَ صِرَٰطًا سَوِيًّا
19:43
Father, knowledge has come to me which has not come you, therefore, follow me. I will guide you to a Level Path. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:44
يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَصِيًّا
19:44
Father, do not worship satan; for satan has rebelled against the Merciful. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:45
يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيْطَـٰنِ وَلِيًّا
19:45
Father, I fear that the punishment of the Merciful will fall upon you and you will become a guide of satan' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:46
قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنْ ءَالِهَتِى يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖ وَٱهْجُرْنِى مَلِيًّا
19:46
But he replied: 'Do you shrink away from my gods, Abraham? Surely, if you do not cease I will stone you, so leave me for awhile' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:47
قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْكَ ۖ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّىٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِى حَفِيًّا
19:47
'Peace be on you' he (Abraham) said, 'I shall call upon my Lord to forgive you, for to me He has been gracious. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:48
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّى شَقِيًّا
19:48
Now I will go away from you and that you call upon, other than Allah. I will call on my Lord. Perhaps I shall not be unblessed in calling my Lord' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:49
فَلَمَّا ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا
19:49
So when he turned away from them and those they worshipped, other than Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob. Each of them We made a Prophet, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:50
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا
19:50
and We gave them of Our Mercy and We appointed to them a truthful, highly sincere tongue, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:51
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
19:51
Mention in the Book, Moses. He was devoted, a Messenger, and a Prophet. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:52
وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَـٰهُ نَجِيًّا
19:52
We called out to him from the right side of the mountain, and drew him near in (Divine) conversation. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:53
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ نَبِيًّا
19:53
From Our Mercy We gave him, his brother Aaron, a Prophet. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:54
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِسْمَـٰعِيلَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
19:54
And mention in the Book, Ishmael; he too was true to his promise, a Messenger and a Prophet. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:55
وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرْضِيًّا
19:55
And he ordered his people to pray and to give charity and his Lord was pleased with him. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:56
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ إِدْرِيسَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
19:56
And mention in the Book, Idris; he too was of the truth and a Prophet, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:57
وَرَفَعْنَـٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا
19:57
We raised him to a high place. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:58
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ ۚ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا ۩
19:58
These are whom Allah has blessed among the Prophets from among the seed of Adam and of those whom We bore with Noah; the descendants ofAbraham, of Israel, and of those whom We have guided and chose. For when the verses of the Merciful were recited to them, they fell down prostrate, weeping. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:59
۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
19:59
But the generation that succeeded them wasted their prayers and followed their desires, so they shall encounter error - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:60
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْـًٔا
19:60
except he who repents and believes and does good works; those shall be admitted to Paradise and shall not be wronged in any way. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:61
جَنَّـٰتِ عَدْنٍ ٱلَّتِى وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَأْتِيًّا
19:61
(They shall enter the) Gardens of Eden, which the Merciful has promised His worshipers in the Unseen. Indeed, His promise shall come. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:62
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَـٰمًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
19:62
There, they shall hear no idle talk, but only peace. And there they shall be given their provision at dawn and at the evening. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:63
تِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِى نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّا
19:63
That is the Paradise which We shall give the cautious worshipers to inherit. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:64
وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَهُۥ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا
19:64
(Gabriel said:) 'We do not descend except at the command of your Lord. To Him belongs all that is before us and all that is behind us, and all that lies between. Your Lord does not forget. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:65
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَٱعْبُدْهُ وَٱصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦ ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِيًّا
19:65
Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, so worship Him, be patient in His worship. Do you know any that can be named with His Name' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:66
وَيَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا
19:66
The human says: 'What, when I am dead, shall I be raised to life' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:67
أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْـًٔا
19:67
Will the human not remember that We created him before when he was not a thing. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:68
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا
19:68
By your Lord, We will gather them and the satans, and We shall parade them hobbling on their knees in Gehenna: - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:69
ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عِتِيًّا
19:69
from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:70
ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّا
19:70
We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:71
وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا
19:71
There is not one of you who shall not go down to it: such is a thing decreed, determined by your Lord. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:72
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا
19:72
Then, We will save those who were cautious of Us, but the harmdoers shall be left there hobbling on their knees. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:73
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا
19:73
When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:74
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَـٰثًا وَرِءْيًا
19:74
How many generations have We destroyed before them, who were far greater in riches and more boastful! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:75
قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مَدًّا ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا
19:75
Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the Most Merciful prolong his life span until they see that which they were threatened, be it a punishment, or the Hour. Thenshall they know whose is the worst place and who is weaker in hosts' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:76
وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ هُدًى ۗ وَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا
19:76
Allah will increase those who were guided in guidance and things that abide. Good deeds are better in reward with your Lord, and, better in return. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:77
أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا
19:77
Have you seen he who disbelieves Our verses and yet says: 'I shall surely be given wealth and children' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:78
أَطَّلَعَ ٱلْغَيْبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَهْدًا
19:78
Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen? Or taken a covenant with the Merciful? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:79
كَلَّا ۚ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ مَدًّا
19:79
On the contrary, We will write down what he says and prolong the length of his punishment. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:80
وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا
19:80
We shall inherit that of which he speaks and he will come before Us alone. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:81
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا۟ لَهُمْ عِزًّا
19:81
And they have taken gods, other than Allah, that they might be a power from them. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:82
كَلَّا ۚ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا
19:82
Indeed no! They will renounce their worship and turn against them. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:83
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا
19:83
Have you not seen how We send down to the unbelievers satans who prick them? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:84
فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا
19:84
Therefore, do not hasten (things) against them, for We count out to them a number, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:85
يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَفْدًا
19:85
and on the Day when We will ceremonially gather the righteous to the Merciful, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:86
وَنَسُوقُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا
19:86
and drive the evildoers as herds, into Gehenna - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:87
لَّا يَمْلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَهْدًا
19:87
who have no power of intercession, except those who have taken a covenant with the Merciful. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:88
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَلَدًا
19:88
And they say: 'The Merciful has taken a son' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:89
لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِدًّا
19:89
Surely, you have brought a monstrous thing! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:90
تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلْجِبَالُ هَدًّا
19:90
Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:91
أَن دَعَوْا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَلَدًا
19:91
because they have ascribed a son to the Merciful. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:92
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا
19:92
It is not for the Merciful to take a son! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:93
إِن كُلُّ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّآ ءَاتِى ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَبْدًا
19:93
There is none in the heavens and earth except he comes to the Merciful as a worshiper. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:94
لَّقَدْ أَحْصَىٰهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّا
19:94
He has counted them and exactly numbered all; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:95
وَكُلُّهُمْ ءَاتِيهِ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فَرْدًا
19:95
and each one shall come to Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:96
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وُدًّا
19:96
Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Merciful will assign for them love. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:97
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا
19:97
We have made it easy in your own tongue in order that you proclaim the glad tidings to the cautious and give warning to a stubborn nation. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
19:98
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًۢا
19:98
How many generations have We destroyed before them! Do you sense even one of them, or hear a whisper from them? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
