بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

76:1 هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ حِينٌ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُن شَيْـًٔا مَّذْكُورًا
76:1 Surely there hath come upon man a space of time when he was not a thing worth mentioning. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:2 إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا
76:2 Verily We! We created man from a sperm of mixtures, that We might prove him, wherefore We made him hearing, seeing. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:3 إِنَّا هَدَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا
76:3 Verily We! We shewed him the way; then he becometh either thankful or ingrate. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:4 إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ سَلَـٰسِلَا۟ وَأَغْلَـٰلًا وَسَعِيرًا
76:4 Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:5 إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِن كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا
76:5 Verily the pious shall drink of a cup whereof the admixture is like Unto camphor. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:6 عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ ٱللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًا
76:6 From a fountain whence the bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to gush abundantly. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:7 يُوفُونَ بِٱلنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُۥ مُسْتَطِيرًا
76:7 They fulfill their vow and dread a Day the evil whereof shall be widespreading. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:8 وَيُطْعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا
76:8 And they feed with food, for love of Him, the needy, and the orphan and the captive. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:9 إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَآءً وَلَا شُكُورًا
76:9 Saying: we feed you only for the sake of Allah; we desire not from you any recompense or thanks. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:10 إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا
76:10 Verily we dread from our Lord a Day grim and distressful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:11 فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا
76:11 Wherefore Allah shall preserve them from the evil of that Day, and shall cause them to meet brightness and joy. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:12 وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا
76:12 And shall recompense them for that which they patiently bare with a Garden and silken garment. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:13 مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا
76:13 Reclining therein upon couches, they shall behold therein neither sun nor hurting cold. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:14 وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَـٰلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا
76:14 And close upon them will be the shades thereof, and low will hang the clusters thereof greatly. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:15 وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِـَٔانِيَةٍ مِّن فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا۠
76:15 And brought round amongst them will be vessels of silver and also goblets of glass. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:16 قَوَارِيرَا۟ مِن فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا
76:16 Godblets of silver, they shall have filled them to exact measure. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:17 وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلًا
76:17 And therein they shall be given to drink of a cup whereof the admixture will be ginger. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:18 عَيْنًا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًا
76:18 From a fountain therein, named Salsabil. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:19 ۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَّنثُورًا
76:19 And there shall go round Unto them youths ever-young. When thou seest them thou wouldst deem them pearls unstrung. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:20 وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا
76:20 And when thou lookest them thou shalt behold delight and a dominion magnificent. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:21 عَـٰلِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوٓا۟ أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةٍ وَسَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا
76:21 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and of brocades. And adorned they shall be with bracelets of silver: and their Lord shall give them drink a beverage pure. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:22 إِنَّ هَـٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَآءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُم مَّشْكُورًا
76:22 Verily this is for you by way of recompense, and your endeavour hath been accepted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:23 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَنزِيلًا
76:23 Verily We! it is We Who have revealed Unto thee the Qur'an, a gradual revelation. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:24 فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ ءَاثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا
76:24 Wherefore persevere thou with the commandment of thy Lord, and obey not thou of them, any sinner or ingrate. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:25 وَٱذْكُرِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
76:25 And remember thou the name of thy Lord in the morning and in the evening. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:26 وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَٱسْجُدْ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا
76:26 And during the night - worship Him; and hallow Him the livelong night. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:27 إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَآءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا
76:27 Verily those love the Herein, and leave in front of them a heavy day. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:28 نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَـٰهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَآ أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَآ أَمْثَـٰلَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا
76:28 It it We Who creared them and made them firm of make. And whenever We list, We can replace them with others like Unto them. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:29 إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا
76:29 Verily this is an admonition; then whosoever Will, may choose a way Unto his Lord. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:30 وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
76:30 And ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Verily Allah is ever Knowing, Wise.' - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

76:31 يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَآءُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۢا
76:31 He maketh whomsoever He listeth to enter His mercy. And the wrong-doers! for them He hath gotten ready a torment afflective. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
