Transliteration
Wahiduddin Khan
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
111:1
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
111:1
Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
111:2
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
111:2
Neither his wealth availed him, nor what he had earned. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
111:3
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
111:3
Soon he will enter the blazing fire, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
111:4
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
111:4
and his wife [too], the firewood carrier, - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
111:5
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
111:5
with a rope of palm fibre around her neck. - Ali Quli Qarai (English)
