بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

44:1 حمٓ
44:1 Ha. Mim. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:2 وَٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
44:2 By the luminious Book. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:3 إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ
44:3 Verily We have sent it down on a blessed night, verily We were to become warners. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:4 فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ
44:4 Therein is decreed every affair of wisdom - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:5 أَمْرًا مِّنْ عِندِنَآ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ
44:5 As a command from before Us. Verily We were to become senders: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:6 رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
44:6 A mercy from thy Lord. Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:7 رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
44:7 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in- between the twain, if only ye would be convinced. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:8 لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
44:8 There is no god but He. He quickeneth and causeth to die: your Lord and Lord of your forefathers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:9 بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّ يَلْعَبُونَ
44:9 Aye! they're in doubt sporting. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:10 فَٱرْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
44:10 So wait thou day whereon the heaven will bring forth a manifest smoke: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:11 يَغْشَى ٱلنَّاسَ ۖ هَـٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
44:11 Covering the people's this shall be a torment afflictive. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:12 رَّبَّنَا ٱكْشِفْ عَنَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ
44:12 Our Lord! remove from us the torment, verily we shall become believers. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:13 أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ
44:13 How can there be an admonition Unto them, when surely there came Unto them an apostle manifest! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:14 ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ
44:14 Yet they turned away from him and said: one tutored, one distraced. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:15 إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَآئِدُونَ
44:15 Verily We shall remove the torment for a while; but verily ye shall revert. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:16 يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ ٱلْبَطْشَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ
44:16 On the Day whereon We assault them with the greatest assault, verily We shall take vengeance. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:17 ۞ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ
44:17 And assuredly afore them We proved Fir'awn's people, and there came Unto them an apostle honoured. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:18 أَنْ أَدُّوٓا۟ إِلَىَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
44:18 Saying: restore to me the bondmen of Allah, verily I am Unto you an apostle trusted. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:19 وَأَن لَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
44:19 And saying exalt not yourselves against Allah; verily I have come Unto you with an authority manifest. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:20 وَإِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ
44:20 And verily I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord lest ye stone me. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:21 وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ لِى فَٱعْتَزِلُونِ
44:21 And if ye will not believe in me, then let me alone. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:22 فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ
44:22 Then he called upon his Lord. these are a people guilty. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:23 فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى لَيْلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
44:23 So depart thou with My bondmen by night; verily ye shall be pursued. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:24 وَٱتْرُكِ ٱلْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُّغْرَقُونَ
44:24 And leave thou the sea divided: verily they are a host to be drowned. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:25 كَمْ تَرَكُوا۟ مِن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
44:25 They left - how many! - of gardens and springs. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:26 وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
44:26 And cornfields and goodly positions. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:27 وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا۟ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهِينَ
44:27 And the delights which they had been enjoying! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:28 كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ
44:28 Even so And We caused to inherit them another people. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:29 فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنظَرِينَ
44:29 And the heavens and the earth wept not over them, nor were they respited. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:30 وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْمُهِينِ
44:30 And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:31 مِن فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
44:31 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:32 وَلَقَدِ ٱخْتَرْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
44:32 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:33 وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٌا۟ مُّبِينٌ
44:33 And We vouchsafed Unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:34 إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ
44:34 Verily these! they say: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:35 إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ
44:35 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:36 فَأْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
44:36 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:37 أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ
44:37 Are they better Or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:38 وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ
44:38 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:39 مَا خَلَقْنَـٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
44:39 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:40 إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ مِيقَـٰتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
44:40 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:41 يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْـًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
44:41 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:42 إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
44:42 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:43 إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ
44:43 Verily the tree of Zaqqum: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:44 طَعَامُ ٱلْأَثِيمِ
44:44 Food of the sinner. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:45 كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَغْلِى فِى ٱلْبُطُونِ
44:45 Like the dregs of all! It shall seethe in the bellies: - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:46 كَغَلْىِ ٱلْحَمِيمِ
44:46 As the seething of boiling water. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:47 خُذُوهُ فَٱعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
44:47 Lay hold of him, and drag him Unto the midst of the Flaming Fire. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:48 ثُمَّ صُبُّوا۟ فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱلْحَمِيمِ
44:48 Then pour upon his head the torment of balling water. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:49 ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ
44:49 Taste thou! thou art indeed mighty, honoured! - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:50 إِنَّ هَـٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَمْتَرُونَ
44:50 Verily this is that whereof ye were wont to doubt. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:51 إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ
44:51 Verily the God-fearing will be in a place secure - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:52 فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
44:52 Amidst gardens and springs. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:53 يَلْبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ
44:53 Attired in fine silk and brocade, facing each other. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:54 كَذَٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ
44:54 Even so. And We shall pair them with fair damsels large- eyed. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:55 يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِينَ
44:55 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in security. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:56 لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
44:56 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:57 فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
44:57 A bounty from thy Lord. That! that is the supreme achievement. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:58 فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
44:58 And We have made it easy in thy language; they might haply be admonished. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)

44:59 فَٱرْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُم مُّرْتَقِبُونَ
44:59 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
