بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
91:1
وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا
91:1
By the sun and his brightness, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:2
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا
91:2
And the moon when she followeth him, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:3
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا
91:3
And the day when it revealeth him, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:4
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا
91:4
And the night when it enshroudeth him, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:5
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا
91:5
And the heaven and Him Who built it, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:6
وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا
91:6
And the earth and Him Who spread it, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:7
وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا
91:7
And a soul and Him Who perfected it - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:8
فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا
91:8
And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:9
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا
91:9
He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:10
وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا
91:10
And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it. - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:11
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ
91:11
(The tribe of) Thamud denied (the truth) in their rebellious pride, - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:12
إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشْقَىٰهَا
91:12
When the basest of them broke forth - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:13
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَـٰهَا
91:13
And the messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink! - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
91:14
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسَوَّىٰهَا
91:14
But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)

وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَـٰهَا
91:15
He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). - Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (English)
