بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
26:1 طسٓمٓ
26:1 TA SIN MIM. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:2 تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
26:2 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:3 لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:3 You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:4 إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَـٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِينَ
26:4 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:5 وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
26:5 Never does a new reminder come to them from Ar-Rahman but they turn away from it. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:6 فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
26:6 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:7 أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:7 Do they not see the earth, how We grow all kinds of noble things upon it? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:8 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:8 Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:9 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:9 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:10 وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
26:10 When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:11 قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ
26:11 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:12 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ
26:12 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:13 وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ
26:13 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:14 وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ
26:14 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:15 قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ
26:15 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:16 فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:16 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:17 أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:17 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:18 قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
26:18 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:19 وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
26:19 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:20 قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:20 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:21 فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:21 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:22 وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:22 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:23 قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:23 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:24 قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
26:24 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:25 قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ
26:25 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:26 قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:26 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:27 قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ
26:27 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:28 قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
26:28 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:29 قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ
26:29 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:30 قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:30 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:31 قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:31 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:32 فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:32 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:33 وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
26:33 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:34 قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
26:34 The Pharaoh said to the chiefs around him: "He is certainly a clever magician. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:35 يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
26:35 He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic. So, what do you bid?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:36 قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:36 They said: "Put him and his brother off awhile, and send summoners to the cities to gather - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:37 يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ
26:37 And bring the ablest magicians to you." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:38 فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:38 So the magicians were assembled at a stated time and place on an appointed day. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:39 وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ
26:39 And the people were also asked to assemble. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:40 لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:40 (They said): "We may haply follow the magicians if they are victorious." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:41 فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
26:41 When the magicians arrived, they said to the Pharaoh: "Is there a reward for us if we are victorious?" -- - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:42 قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
26:42 "Yes," he replied. "You 'will be among the honoured." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:43 قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
26:43 Moses said to them: "Cast what you have to cast." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:44 فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
26:44 So they cast their ropes and rods, and said: "By the glory of Pharaoh, we shall be victorious." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:45 فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
26:45 Then Moses threw down his staff, and lo, it swallowed up their conjurations. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:46 فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِينَ
26:46 Then the magicians fell prostrating in adoration, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:47 قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:47 And said: "We (affirm and) believe in the Lord of all the worlds, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:48 رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ
26:48 The Lord of Moses and Aaron." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:49 قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:49 Said (the Pharaoh): "You have come to believe in him before I gave you leave. He is surely your chief, who taught you magic. You will soon come to know: I will have your hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, and have every one of you crucified." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:50 قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ
26:50 They said: "There will be no harm. We shall return to our Lord. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:51 إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰيَـٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:51 We certainly hope our Lord will forgive our sins as we are the first to believe." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:52 ۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
26:52 We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:53 فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَـٰشِرِينَ
26:53 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:54 إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ
26:54 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:55 وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ
26:55 They are always harassing us. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:56 وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَـٰذِرُونَ
26:56 But we are a fully accounted army." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:57 فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:57 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:58 وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
26:58 And treasures and agreeable mansions. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:59 كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:59 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:60 فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ
26:60 But they pursued them at sunrise. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:61 فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
26:61 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:62 قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
26:62 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:63 فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
26:63 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:64 وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:64 Then We brought the others to that place. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:65 وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:65 We delivered Moses and every one with him, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:66 ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:66 And We drowned the others. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:67 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:67 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:68 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:68 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:69 وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
26:69 Relate the news of Abraham to them. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:70 إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
26:70 When he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:71 قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِينَ
26:71 They replied: "We worship idols and are devoted to them." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:72 قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
26:72 (Abraham) asked: "Do they hear when you call them? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:73 أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
26:73 Or do they benefit you, or do you harm?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:74 قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
26:74 They said: "No. But we found our fathers doing so." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:75 قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:75 He said: "Have you considered what you have been worshipping, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:76 أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ
26:76 You and your fathers? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:77 فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:77 Yet they are my enemies except the Lord of all the worlds - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:78 ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
26:78 Who created me and showed me the way, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:79 وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ
26:79 Who gives me food and drink, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:80 وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
26:80 And heals me when I am sick, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:81 وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
26:81 Who will make me die, then give me life again, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:82 وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
26:82 And who, I hope, will condone my faults on the Day of Judgement. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:83 رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
26:83 O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:84 وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
26:84 And uphold my name with posterity, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:85 وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
26:85 And put me among the inheritors of Paradise. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:86 وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
26:86 Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:87 وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
26:87 And do not disgrace me on the day when they are raised from the graves, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:88 يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
26:88 The day when neither wealth nor children will be of any avail - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:89 إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
26:89 But to him who comes to God with a tranquil heart." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:90 وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
26:90 Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path; - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:91 وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ
26:91 And Hell made visible to those who had gone astray. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:92 وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
26:92 They will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:93 مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ
26:93 Other than God? Can they save you or even save themselves?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:94 فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:94 They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:95 وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ
26:95 Together with the hordes of Iblis. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:96 قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ
26:96 Disputing among themselves they will say: - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:97 تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
26:97 "By God, we were plainly in error - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:98 إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:98 In equating you with the Lord of all the worlds; - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:99 وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
26:99 No one but the sinners led us astray. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:100 فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِينَ
26:100 Now we have none to intercede for us, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:101 وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ
26:101 Nor any sincere friend. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:102 فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:102 If only we could return and be among the believers!" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:103 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:103 Verily there is a sign in this, but many of them do not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:104 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:104 Verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:105 كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:105 The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:106 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:106 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:107 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:107 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:108 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:108 So be fearful of God and listen to me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:109 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:109 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:110 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:110 So fear God and follow me." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:111 ۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ
26:111 They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:112 قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
26:112 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:113 إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
26:113 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:114 وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:114 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:115 إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
26:115 I am only a plain admonisher." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:116 قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ
26:116 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:117 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ
26:117 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:118 فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:118 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:119 فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
26:119 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:120 ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
26:120 And drowned the rest of them. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:121 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:121 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:122 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:122 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:123 كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:123 The people of 'Ad accused the messengers of lies. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:124 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:124 When their brother Hud said to them: "Will you not take heed? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:125 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:125 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:126 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:126 So fear God and listen to me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:127 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:127 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:128 أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ
26:128 You construct monuments on every hill in vain, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:129 وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
26:129 Erect palaces (thinking) that you will live for ever, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:130 وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
26:130 And whenever you apply force become tyrannical. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:131 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:131 So be fearful of God and follow me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:132 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
26:132 Fear Him who has bestowed on you what you know, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:133 أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ
26:133 Gave you increase of cattle and sons, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:134 وَجَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:134 And orchards and springs. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:135 إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:135 I fear the punishment of a terrible day for you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:136 قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ
26:136 They said: "It is the same to us if you warn us or do not warn. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:137 إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:137 This is just a habit of antiquated people. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:138 وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:138 We are not going to be damned." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:139 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:139 Then they accused him of lies; so We annihilated them. Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:140 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:140 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:141 كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:141 The Thamud accused the messengers of lies. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:142 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:142 When their brother Saleh said to them: "Will you not take heed?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:143 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:143 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:144 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:144 So fear God and follow me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:145 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:145 I do not ask any recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:146 أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَـٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ
26:146 (Do you think) you will be left secure here - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:147 فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
26:147 In these gardens and these springs, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:148 وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ
26:148 The fields of corn and date-palm trees with soft and tender spathes, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:149 وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَـٰرِهِينَ
26:149 And dwellings hewed out of mountains ingeniously? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:150 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:150 So be mindful of God and listen to me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:151 وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
26:151 Do not follow those who are extravagant, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:152 ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
26:152 Who corrupt the land and do not reform it." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:153 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:153 They said: "Surely you are deluded. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:154 مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:154 You are nothing but a man like us. Bring us a token if you speak the truth." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:155 قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
26:155 (Saleh) said: "Here is a she-camel. She has a right of drinking water, and you have a right of drinking it on appointed turns. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:156 وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:156 Do not treat her unkindly or the punishment of a grievous day will fall on you." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:157 فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِينَ
26:157 But they hamstrung her; and on the morrow were repentant, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:158 فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:158 For they were seized by the torment. Verily there was a sign in this, but most of them did not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:159 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:159 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:160 كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:160 The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:161 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:161 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:162 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:162 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:163 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:163 So fear God and listen to me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:164 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:164 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:165 أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:165 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:166 وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
26:166 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:167 قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ
26:167 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:168 قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ
26:168 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:169 رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
26:169 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:170 فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
26:170 So We saved him and his whole family - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:171 إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
26:171 Except one old woman who remained behind. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:172 ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
26:172 Then We destroyed the rest of them, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:173 وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
26:173 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:174 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:174 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:175 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:175 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:176 كَذَّبَ أَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
26:176 The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:177 إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
26:177 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:178 إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
26:178 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:179 فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
26:179 So fear God and follow me. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:180 وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:180 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:181 ۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ
26:181 Give full measure and do not cheat; - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:182 وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
26:182 Weigh on an even balance. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:183 وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
26:183 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:184 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:184 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:185 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
26:185 They said: "Surely you are deluded. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:186 وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ
26:186 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:187 فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
26:187 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:188 قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:188 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:189 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
26:189 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:190 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
26:190 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:191 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
26:191 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:192 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
26:192 And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:193 نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ
26:193 Which the trusted spirit descended with - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:194 عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
26:194 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:195 بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّ مُّبِينٍ
26:195 In eloquent Arabic. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:196 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
26:196 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:197 أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
26:197 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:198 وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ
26:198 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:199 فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ
26:199 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:200 كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَـٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
26:200 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:201 لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
26:201 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:202 فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
26:202 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:203 فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ
26:203 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:204 أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
26:204 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:205 أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ سِنِينَ
26:205 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:206 ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ
26:206 And then what they were promised comes upon them, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:207 مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ
26:207 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:208 وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ
26:208 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:209 ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
26:209 To warn. For We are never unjust. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:210 وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:210 The devils did not bring it down: - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:211 وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
26:211 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:212 إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
26:212 They have been precluded from hearing it. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:213 فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ
26:213 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:214 وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ
26:214 And warn your near relations, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:215 وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
26:215 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:216 فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
26:216 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:217 وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
26:217 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:218 ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
26:218 Who watches you when you get up, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:219 وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
26:219 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:220 إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
26:220 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:221 هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
26:221 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:222 تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
26:222 They come down to every mendacious sinner, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:223 يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ
26:223 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:224 وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
26:224 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:225 أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
26:225 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:226 وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
26:226 And they say what they do not do, - Ahmed Ali (English)
26:227 إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
26:227 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! - Ahmed Ali (English)
