بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
104:1
وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ
104:1
WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, - Ahmed Ali (English)

ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
104:2
Who amasses wealth and hordes it. - Ahmed Ali (English)

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ
104:3
Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? - Ahmed Ali (English)

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ
104:4
By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. - Ahmed Ali (English)

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ
104:5
How will you comprehend what Hutama is? - Ahmed Ali (English)

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ
104:6
It is the fire kindled by God - Ahmed Ali (English)

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ
104:7
Which penetrates the hearts - Ahmed Ali (English)

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ

(And) vaults them over - Ahmed Ali (English)

فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ
