بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
who created all things and gave them due proportions, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
who brings forth green pasture, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
then turns it into black stubble. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
[O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
who will enter the Great Fire, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
where he will neither die nor live. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
He who purifies himself, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
But you prefer the life of this world, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18
This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
87:19
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
87:19
the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
