بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
The One Who created, and then made proper. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
The One Who produced pasture. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
Then made it dry and dark. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
And We shall create the means of ease for you. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
Soon whoever fears will heed advice. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
And the most wicked will stay away from it. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
The one who will enter the biggest fire. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
Indeed successful is the one who became pure. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
But rather you prefer the life of this world! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18
Indeed this is in the former scriptures. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)

صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
87:19
