بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
87:1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
87:1
Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
87:2
Who hath created and then proportioned, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:3
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
87:3
And Who hath disposed and then guided, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:4
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
87:4
And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
87:5
Then maketh it to stubble dusky. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:6
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
87:6
We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
87:7
Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
87:8
And We shall make easy Unto thee the easy way. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
87:9
Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
87:10
Admonished is he indeed who feareth, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
87:11
And the wretched shunneth it-. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
87:12
He Who shall roast into the Great Fire, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
87:13
Wherein he shall neither die nor live, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:14
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
87:14
He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
87:15
And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
87:16
But ye prefer the life of this world, - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:17
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
87:17
Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:18
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
87:18
Verily this is in Writs ancient - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
87:19
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
87:19
Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. - Abdul Majid Daryabadi (English)
