بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
92:1
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
92:1
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:2
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
92:2
and by the day as it appears radiantly, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:3
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
92:3
and by the creation of the male and the female. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:4
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
92:4
O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:5
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ
92:5
As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:6
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:6
and believes in the truth of what is right, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
92:7
We will pave his way to ease. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:8
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
92:8
But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:9
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:9
and rejects what is right, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
92:10
We shall pave his way to hardship, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:11
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ
92:11
nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:12
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
92:12
Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:13
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
92:13
and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:14
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
92:14
I have warned you then about a raging Fire: - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:15
لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى
92:15
none shall enter it but the most wicked, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:16
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
92:16
who denied [the truth], and turned away. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى
92:17
One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:18
ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
92:18
one who gives his wealth to become purified, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ
92:19
and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:20
إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
92:20
acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
92:21
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
92:21
and before long he will be well satisfied. - Wahiduddin Khan (English)
