بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
92:1
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
92:1
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:2
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
92:2
And the day when it shines in all its glory, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:3
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
92:3
And Him who created the male and female, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:4
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
92:4
That your endeavour is for different ends. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:5
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ
92:5
Yet he who gives to others and has fear, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:6
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:6
And affirms goodness, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
92:7
We shall ease the way of fortune for him. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:8
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
92:8
But he who does not give and is unconcerned, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:9
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
92:9
And rejects goodness, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
92:10
For him We shall ease the way of adversity, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:11
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ
92:11
And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:12
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
92:12
It is indeed for Us to show the way, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:13
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
92:13
And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:14
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
92:14
So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:15
لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى
92:15
No one will burn in it but the most wretched, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:16
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
92:16
Who denied (the truth) and turned away. - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى
92:17
But save him who fears - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:18
ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
92:18
And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ
92:19
And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:20
إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
92:20
Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, - Ahmed Ali (English)
92:21
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
92:21
Will surely be gratified. - Ahmed Ali (English)
