بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
84:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
84:1
When the sky has split [open] - Saheeh International (English)
84:2
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:2
And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - Saheeh International (English)
84:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
84:3
And when the earth has been extended - Saheeh International (English)
84:4
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
84:4
And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] - Saheeh International (English)
84:5
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
84:5
And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - - Saheeh International (English)
84:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ
84:6
O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it. - Saheeh International (English)
84:7
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
84:7
Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, - Saheeh International (English)
84:8
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
84:8
He will be judged with an easy account - Saheeh International (English)
84:9
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:9
And return to his people in happiness. - Saheeh International (English)
84:10
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
84:10
But as for he who is given his record behind his back, - Saheeh International (English)
84:11
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا
84:11
He will cry out for destruction - Saheeh International (English)
84:12
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
84:12
And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. - Saheeh International (English)
84:13
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
84:13
Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness; - Saheeh International (English)
84:14
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
84:14
Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]. - Saheeh International (English)
84:15
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا
84:15
But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. - Saheeh International (English)
84:16
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
84:16
So I swear by the twilight glow - Saheeh International (English)
84:17
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
84:17
And [by] the night and what it envelops - Saheeh International (English)
84:18
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
84:18
And [by] the moon when it becomes full - Saheeh International (English)
84:19
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
84:19
[That] you will surely experience state after state. - Saheeh International (English)
84:20
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
84:20
So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, - Saheeh International (English)
84:21
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩
84:21
And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? - Saheeh International (English)
84:22
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ
84:22
But those who have disbelieved deny, - Saheeh International (English)
84:23
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
84:23
And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. - Saheeh International (English)
84:24
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
84:24
So give them tidings of a painful punishment, - Saheeh International (English)
84:25
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ
84:25
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted. - Saheeh International (English)
