ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
101:1

مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
101:2
What is the event that terrifies the hearts? - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
101:3
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
101:3
And what have you understood, what the event that terrifies the hearts is! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
101:4
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ
101:4
The day when men will be like scattered moths. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
101:5
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ
101:5
And mountains will be like flying wool. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
101:6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
101:6
So for one whose scales prove heavy, - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
101:7
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ
101:7
He is therefore in the desired bliss. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
101:8
And for one whose scales prove light, - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)
101:9
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ
101:9
He is in the lap of one that abases. - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ
101:10
And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! - Ahmed Raza Khan (English)

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ
