بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
51:1
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ ذَرْوًا
51:1
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:2
فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ وِقْرًا
51:2
then the bearers of weight (the clouds), - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:3
فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ يُسْرًا
51:3
then the easy runners (the ships); - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:4
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ أَمْرًا
51:4
then by the distributors (angels), ordered; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:5
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ
51:5
indeed, that which you are promised is true, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:6
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
51:6
and the recompense shall surely happen. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ
51:7
By the heaven with its passages, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:8
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ
51:8
surely, you are in different sayings, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:9
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ
51:9
and are turned away from him who is turned. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:10
قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ
51:10
Woe to the liars - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:11
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
51:11
who are heedless in the immersion. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:12
يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
51:12
'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:13
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
51:13
On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:14
ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
51:14
'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:15
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
51:15
The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:16
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ
51:16
receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:17
كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
51:17
They slept but a little at night, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:18
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
51:18
and at dawn would ask forgiveness, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:19
وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
51:19
and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:20
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
51:20
For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:21
وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
51:21
and also in yourselves. Can you not see? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:22
وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
51:22
In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:23
فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ
51:23
So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:24
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
51:24
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:25
إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
51:25
They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:26
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
51:26
So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:27
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
51:27
He set it before them, saying: 'Will you not eat' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:28
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ
51:28
Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:29
فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
51:29
(Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:30
قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
51:30
'Such, says your Lord' they replied: 'He is the Wise, the Knower' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:31
۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
51:31
'Messengers' said he (Abraham), 'what is your errand' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:32
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
51:32
They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:33
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
51:33
so that we bring down stones of clay upon them - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:34
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
51:34
marked by your Lord for the sinful' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:35
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
51:35
So We brought the believers out of that they were in. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:36
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
51:36
But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:37
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
51:37
and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:38
وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
51:38
In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:39
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَـٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
51:39
but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:40
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
51:40
So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:41
وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ
51:41
And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:42
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
51:42
that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:43
وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
51:43
And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:44
فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
51:44
But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:45
فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ
51:45
they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:46
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ
51:46
And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:47
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
51:47
We built the heaven with might, and We widely extended it. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:48
وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَـٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ
51:48
and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:49
وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
51:49
We created two kinds of all things, so that you will remember. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:50
فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
51:50
Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:51
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
51:51
Do not set up with Allah another god. I am a clear warner to you from Him. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:52
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
51:52
Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:53
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
51:53
Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:54
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ
51:54
So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:55
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
51:55
But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:56
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
51:56
I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:57
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ
51:57
I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:58
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ
51:58
Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:59
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
51:59
The evildoers shall have for their portion, a portion like their companions (who were destroyed before them). Therefore, they should not ask Us to hasten! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
51:60
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
51:60
Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
