بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
52:1
وَٱلطُّورِ
52:1
By the Mount (Sinai), - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:2
وَكِتَـٰبٍ مَّسْطُورٍ
52:2
by the book (Torah) written - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:3
فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ
52:3
on parchment for distribution, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:4
وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ
52:4
by the established House (Mecca), - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:5
وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ
52:5
by the high ceiling (heaven), - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:6
وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ
52:6
and by the swelling ocean, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:7
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
52:7
the torment of your Lord will inevitably take place - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:8
مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍ
52:8
and no one will be able to prevent it. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:9
يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا
52:9
On the day when the heavens will swiftly fly - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:10
وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا
52:10
and the mountains quickly move. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:11
فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
52:11
Woe will be to those who rejected the Truth - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:12
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ
52:12
and who indulged in false disputes against (God's revelations). - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:13
يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا
52:13
On that day they will be violently pushed into the fire - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:14
هَـٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
52:14
and they will be told, "This is the fire which you called a lie. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:15
أَفَسِحْرٌ هَـٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
52:15
Is it magic or do you not still see? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:16
ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
52:16
Burn in its heat. It is all the same for you whether you exercise patience or not; This is the recompense for your deeds". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:17
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ
52:17
The pious will live in bountiful Paradise, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:18
فَـٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
52:18
talking of what they have received from their Lord and of how their Lord has saved them from the torment of hell. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:19
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
52:19
They will be told, "Eat and drink to your heart's delight for what you have done". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:20
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ
52:20
They will recline on couches arranged in rows and We shall couple them with maidens with large, lovely eyes. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:21
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَـٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَـٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ
52:21
The offspring of the believers will also follow them to Paradise. So shall We join their offspring to them because of their faith. We shall reduce nothing from their deeds. Everyone will be responsible for his own actions. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:22
وَأَمْدَدْنَـٰهُم بِفَـٰكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
52:22
We shall provide them with fruits and the meat of the kind which they desire. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:23
يَتَنَـٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ
52:23
They will pass cups of un-intoxicating and unsinful wine to one another. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:24
۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ
52:24
They will be served by youths who will be as beautiful as pearls. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:25
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
52:25
They will turn to one another ask questions, - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:26
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ
52:26
saying, "We were afraid while in the world. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:27
فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ
52:27
But God has granted us favors and saved us from the scorching heat of the torment. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:28
إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
52:28
We had prayed to Him; He is Kind and All-merciful". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:29
فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ
52:29
(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:30
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ
52:30
Do they say, "He is only a poet and we are waiting to see him die!?" - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:31
قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
52:31
Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:32
أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَـٰمُهُم بِهَـٰذَآ ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
52:32
Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:33
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
52:33
Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:34
فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَـٰدِقِينَ
52:34
Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:35
أَمْ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُونَ
52:35
Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:36
أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ
52:36
Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:37
أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ
52:37
Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:38
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
52:38
Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:39
أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَـٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
52:39
Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:40
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ
52:40
Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:41
أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
52:41
Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:42
أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ
52:42
Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:43
أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
52:43
Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:44
وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ
52:44
Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:45
فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَـٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ
52:45
So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:46
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
52:46
and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:47
وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
52:47
The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:48
وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
52:48
Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
52:49
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَـٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ
52:49
and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. - Muhammad Sarwar (English)
