بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
93:1
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
93:1
By the bright forenoon, - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:2
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
93:2
and by the night when it covers the world with peace: - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:3
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
93:3
(O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:4
وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
93:4
Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:5
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ
93:5
Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:6
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
93:6
Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:7
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ
93:7
Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:8
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ
93:8
And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:9
فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
93:9
Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:10
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
93:10
and chide not him who asks, - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
93:11
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
93:11
and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. - Abul Ala Maududi (English)
