بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

55:1 ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

The Merciful

55:2 عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

who taught the Quran --

55:3 خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ

He created man

55:4 عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
55:4

and He taught him speech.

55:5 ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ

The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning;

55:6 وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ

the stars and the trees bend in prostration.

55:7 وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:7

He raised the heavens and set up the measure,

55:8 أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
55:8

so that you should not transgress the measure.

55:9 وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
55:9

Always measure with justice and do not give short measure.

55:10 وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ

He has laid out the earth for His creatures.

55:11 فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ

On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates],

55:12 وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ

and grains with their husk and fragrant plants.

55:13 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:14 خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
55:14

He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s,

55:15 وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ

and He created the jinns from a flame of fire.

55:16 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:17 رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
55:17
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests.

55:18 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:19 مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ

He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together.

55:20 بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ

Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun.

55:21 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:22 يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

Pearls and corals come forth from both of them.

55:23 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:24 وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
55:24

His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains.

55:25 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:26 كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ

All that is on the earth is doomed to perish,

55:27 وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:27

while your Lord's own Self will remain full of majesty and glory.

55:28 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:29 يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ

Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
Everyone in the heavens and on the earth entreats Him. Every day He manifests Himself in a new state.

55:30 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:31 سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ

Soon We shall attend to you -- two big groups [of jinn and mankind].

55:32 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:33 يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
55:33
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
O company of jinn and men! If you have the power to go beyond the realms of the heavens and the earth, pass beyond them: you cannot pass out but with [Our] authority.

55:34 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:35 يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
55:35

Flames of fire and molten brass shall be sent against both of you, and you will not be able to defend yourselves.

55:36 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:37 فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ
55:37

When the sky is rent asunder, and becomes red like red leather,

55:38 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:39 فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:39

For, on that Day, neither man nor jinn will be questioned about his sins.

55:40 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:41 يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ

The guilty shall be recognized by their marks so they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet.

55:42 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:43 هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

This is the Hell which the guilty called a lie.

55:44 يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ

They will go round between its flames and boiling water.

55:45 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:46 وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ

There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord.

55:47 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:48 ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ

[There will be two gardens with] spreading branches.

55:49 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:50 فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ

In both of them, there are two springs flowing.

55:51 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:52 فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ

In both of them, there will be two kinds of every fruit.

55:53 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:54 مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ

They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach.

55:55 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:56 فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

Therein are maidens of modest gaze, whom neither a man nor a jinn had ever touched before them.

55:57 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:58 كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
[There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies.

55:59 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:60 هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
55:60
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
The reward of goodness shall be nothing but goodness.

55:61 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:62 وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
55:62
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
Besides those two there shall be two other gardens.

55:63 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:64 مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ
55:64
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
Both [gardens] of the darkest green.

55:65 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:66 فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ

In both of them live springs gush forth.

55:67 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:68 فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ

In both of them there will be fruit trees and date-palms and pomegranates.

55:69 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:70 فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ
55:70
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
Therein will be maidens chaste and beautiful.

55:71 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:72 حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
55:72
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
[There the blessed will live with their] pure companions sheltered in pavilions.

55:73 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:74 لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
55:74
Wahiduddin Khan (English) :
Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them.

55:75 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:76 مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ
55:76

[They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets.

55:77 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny?

55:78 تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
55:78

Blessed be your Lord's name, full of glory and majesty!
