بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
82:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
82:1
When the sky is split, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:2
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
82:2
when the planets are scattered, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
82:3
when the oceans are gushed forth, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:4
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
82:4
when the graves are overturned, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:5
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
82:5
the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
82:6
O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:7
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
82:7
who created you, formed you and proportioned you? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:8
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
82:8
In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:9
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
82:9
Rather, you belied the Recompense. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:10
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ
82:10
Yet over you there are watchers, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:11
كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ
82:11
noble scribes - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:12
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
82:12
who know of all that you do. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:13
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
82:13
Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:14
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
82:14
But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:15
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
82:15
roasting in it on the Day of Recompense - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:16
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
82:16
and from it they shall never be absent. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:17
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:17
What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:18
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:18
Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
82:19
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
82:19
It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
