Transliteration
Wahiduddin Khan
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
82:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
82:1

82:2
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
82:2
And when the stars have fallen and scattered; - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
82:3
And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:4
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
82:4
And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:5
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
82:5

82:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
82:6
O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:7
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
82:7
Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:8
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
82:8

82:9
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
82:9
Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:10
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ
82:10
But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:11
كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ
82:11
Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:12
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
82:12
They know all that you do. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:13
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
82:13
Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:14
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
82:14
And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:15
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
82:15
In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:16
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
82:16
And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:17
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:17
And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:18
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
82:18
Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
82:19
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
82:19
(It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. - Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan (English)
