بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:2
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
And scatter (things) far and wide; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
Then separate them, one from another, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
Then spread abroad a Message, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
Whether of Justification or of Warning;- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
Then when the stars become dim; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
When the heaven is cleft asunder; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
For what Day are these (portents) deferred? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
For the Day of Sorting out. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
So shall We make later (generations) follow them. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
Thus do We deal with men of sin. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:19
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24
Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
The living and the dead, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
(It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
"Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
"(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
"Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
"As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:38
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water). - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
"Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness). - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so. - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
Then what Message, after that, will they believe in? - Abdullah Yusuf Ali (English)
