بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1 وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God,
77:2 فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds,
77:3 وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide,
77:4 فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong
77:5 فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5

and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets)
77:6 عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others:
77:7 إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass.
77:8 فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Then the stars will lose their light.
77:9 وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Heavens will rent asunder.
77:10 وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
The mountains will be blown away as dust.
77:11 وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
The Messengers will receive their appointments.
77:12 لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?"
77:13 لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
one will be told,"To the Day of Distinction".
77:14 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment!
77:15 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:16 أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Did We not destroy the ancient people
77:17 ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
and make others settle after them in their land?
77:18 كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Thus do We deal with the sinful ones.
77:19 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:20 أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid
77:21 فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
and place it in a secure place
77:22 إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
for an appointed time?
77:23 فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ

Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning!
77:24 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24

On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God!
77:25 أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Did We not make the earth as a gathering place
77:26 أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
for the living and the dead,
77:27 وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water?
77:28 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:29 ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected.
77:30 ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns
77:31 لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames.
77:32 إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers
77:33 كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
and yellow camels.
77:34 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:35 هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
On that day they will not be able to speak,
77:36 وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses.
77:37 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:38 هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples.
77:39 فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
If you have any plans, use them.
77:40 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40

On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:41 إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
The pious ones will rest amid the shade, springs,
77:42 وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
and fruits of the kind which they desire.
77:43 كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
(They will be told), "Eat and drink in good health as a reward for what you have done".
77:44 إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
Thus do We reward the righteous ones.
77:45 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:46 كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
Muhammad Sarwar (English) :
(Disbelievers), eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while. You are certainly sinful ones.
77:47 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:48 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48

When they are told to say their prayers, they do not bow down (in prayer).
77:49 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations!
77:50 فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ

In which word other than the Quran will they believe?
