بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
77:1
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا
77:1
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:2
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا
77:2
And those that strike violently, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
77:3
And those that revive by quickening, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:4
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا
77:4
And those that distinguish distinctly, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:5
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
77:5
And those that bring down the Reminder - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77:6
To end all argument or to warn. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
77:7
What is promised will surely come to pass. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77:8
When the stars are obliterated, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
77:9
The heavens split asunder, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:10
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77:10
The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77:11
And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77:12
For what day is that time fixed? - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:13
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:13
The Day of Judgement. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:14
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
77:14
How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:15
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:15
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:16
Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:17
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
77:17
So shall We make the later ones to follow them. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
77:18
That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:19
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:19
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
77:20
Did We not create you from contemptible water? - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
77:21
Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
77:22
For a certain appointed time, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ
77:23
Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:24
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:24
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:25
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77:25
Have We not made the earth a repository - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:26
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
77:26
For the living and the dead, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
77:27
And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:28
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:28
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77:29
"Go to what you used to deny; - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ
77:30
Go to the shadow with three ramifications, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
77:31
Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:32
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
77:32
It will throw out sparks as logs of wood - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77:33
So like golden camels." - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:34
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:34
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:35
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
77:35
They will not be able to speak that day, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77:36
Nor given leave to make excuses. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:37
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:37
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:38
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
77:38
That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77:39
So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:40
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:40
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77:41
Those who take heed for themselves and fear God, will be amidst shade and springs of water, - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77:42
And such fruits as they desire. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:43
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77:43
"Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done." - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
77:44
That is how We reward the good. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:45
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:45
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:46
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
77:46
Eat and enjoy for a while: You are certainly sinners. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:47
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:47
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77:48
When it is said to them: "Bow in homage," they do not bow. - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:49
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77:49
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! - Ahmed Ali (English)
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77:50
In what other lore after this will they then believe? - Ahmed Ali (English)
