بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
96:1
ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ
96:1
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:2
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ
96:2
created the human from a (blood) clot. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:3
ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ
96:3
Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:4
ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَ بِٱلْقَلَمِ
96:4
who taught by the pen, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:5
عَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ
96:5
taught the human what he did not know. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:6
كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ
96:6
Indeed, surely the human is very insolent - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:7
أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ
96:7
that he sees himself sufficed. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:8
إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ
96:8
Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:9
أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰ
96:9
What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:10
عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ
96:10
a worshiper when he prays. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:11
أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ
96:11
Have you seen if he was upon guidance - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:12
أَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ
96:12
or orders piety? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:13
أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
96:13
What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:14
أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ
96:14
does he not know that Allah sees? - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:15
كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ
96:15
Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:16
نَاصِيَةٍ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ
96:16
a lying, sinful forelock. - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:17
فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُۥ
96:17
So, let him call upon his way! - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:18
سَنَدْعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ
96:18
We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
96:19
كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب ۩
96:19
No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). - Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish (English)
